Selected Beaverton Neighborhoods

Cooper Mountain - On the south end of Beaverton. Take TV (Tualatin Valley) Highway west from Portland, then south on 170th Ave. Generally 1990 and newer construction this mainly residential area is home to some very prestigious subdivisions. Views from lots can be panoramic but most look out over the Beaverton valley and up towards Bethany neighborhoods. It is still possible to find houses with minimal surrounding development but this convenient location means that buyers will pay well over $600k if not closer to $1,000,000 for a beautiful 1+ acre estate.

Sexton Mountain (South Beaverton) - At the southern most of the city of Beaverton (bordering Tigard), this area around Scholls Ferry Road and Sexton Mountain is another popular neigborhoods in Beaverton. There's a good mix of single family homes, condos, townhomes and even 55+ communities. It's proximity to Hwy 217 (which leads either to Beaverton downtown or Interstate 5 within minutes) make this area "hot". Homes in this area tend to be a little smaller (1400 SF to 2600 SF). Prices are also a little less as compared to Bethany. Schools are well rated.

Aloha or West Beaverton - You'll find more single level homes developed in this area since about half of the houses around here were built in the 1970's. You'll find some pockets of new homes in older neighborhoods. Being close to the MAX Light Rail system makes this area convenient, particularly when you need to commute to and from downtown.
