Charming and elegant, downtown Lake Oswego real estate has the air of a vibrant and affluent small town. Stroll A Avenue, check out the malls and boutiques, and stop in at Tilamook Ice Creamery & Restaurant ( 37 A Avenue, 503-636-4933)for a burger and unbelievable ice cream. Lake Oswego homes for sale. The annual arts festival in June is worth checking out, as it the Lake Oswego Farmer’s Market (late spring through early fall) at Millenium Plaza just behind A Avenue. This is also a great vantage point for admiring a view of the lake around which the town was built, Oswego Lake. Just a few short blocks away on 4th Avenue, the Lake Oswego Library has one of the nicest children’s sections in town; nestled in the basement, it encompasses an entire floor and is includes areas for display of artwork by local school children and room for visiting performers such as magicians, musicians, and storytellers.

The First Addition is full of older but luxury homes. Unlike some other older parts of Portland, these homes in Lake Oswego First Addition tend to be a little smaller (about 1000 SF) when they were originally built. However, over the years, people have been buying these smaller homes, tear them down and built homes of much larger size (2000 to 5000 SF).

There're a number of condos in First Addition that are comparable in prices to Portland condos for sale.

If you're shopping for a home in the First Addition of Lake Oswego, you'll need to watch out for septic tanks and possibly some oil tank issues. There're are parts of this area are still on septic tanks with no public sewer line. Talk to us before you start shopping. It'll save you some hassles of finding out later.
