Portland Neighborhood Tour: Sellwood / Westmoreland
Sellwood is just 4 miles from downtown Portland, about a short 10 minute drive by car or 20 minutes by bicycle. Yes, bicycle! There's a a dedicated bike trail that leads directly to downtown Portland. The area has an artsy air around it. In the past, this used to be the prime antique shopping area. Today, it has a good mix to cafes, restaurants, a variety of interesting shops, and of course, the old antique stores. There's a good mix of homes and condos (a lot of them offer spectacular view of the Willamette River and downtown Portland).
