Portland Neighborhood Tour: Hawthorne
Remember the hippie movement in the 60's? The Hawthorne District is the Haight-Ashbury of Portland - the epic center of hippies. Definitely Bohemian by nature, the Hawthorne and the Belmont areas offer a wide variety of nostalgic shops, cafes, and restaurants. You'll find the home style here is primarily Old PDX style with a large front porch. You just imagine yourself sitting on your rocking chair, sipping iced tea, and watching people and cars go by. What a life!!!
