Feel , Known For –

University Park Homes For Sale, Prices –

Prices in the University Park neighborhood of North Portland are slightly above average Portland real estate.  Entering the market in near $200k for a detached 3 bedroom 1 bath bungalow is common.  Higher density construction of townhomes and condos are non-existent.  Modest inner-city pricing not generally exceeding $500k for even the largest homes over 3000 square feet.  You will find an above average number of rentals due to proximity to the University.  Investors can do well by renting out larger homes by the room rather than the house as a whole to college students.  Put parents on a lease not the students and you’ll have good cash flow plus deeper pockets to dig into if there’s ever a problem.  Keep your eyes open for investment and flipping opportunities as they do present themselves on occasion.  Compare this neighborhood to other Portland Homes for Sale.

Bus system routes and can be very close, along Lombard and several other main thoroughfares.  Car is often left at home, optional.  Walkers and bicyclists common. A public/bike transportation commuter community.   Interstate St. MAX train line will require riding a bus first for most, too far to walk.
