Portland’s Raleigh Hills neighborhood is a well-established location with good proximity to downtown as Beaverton areas. Larger lots and mature landscape provide a not too subdivisionish look. A gardener’s delight, reminiscent of the Hoyt Arboretum and it’s lush, green, mild-manicured look. Raleigh Hills shopping center is a continuation of the downtown Beaverton area, although this is technically Portland real estate. Jesuit High School is a prominent private school very nearby. Raleigh Hills Home Settings –
Home locations boast tons of mature tree growth, hilly to the north of Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy but pretty flat to the south. Thick vegetation and mature landscape, moss-covered rocks, deciduous and evergreens, native plants surround homes and thoroughfares. Great access to Portland’s Sunset Highway (hwy 26). Commercial area along Beaverton-Hillsdale is very average looking and could be Any-town USA. Many 70’s style rental buildings to the east along commercial route. Raleigh Hills Home Prices –
Condos start well under $200k and there are several older complexes offering such near Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy. Detached homes are usually larger than average starting around 2000’ for $300k. Raleigh Hills Home Styles –
1300’ ranch style for entry level, graduating to 1960 larger dayranch and contemporary homes over 3000’. Occasional infill houses are speckled around the area from owners taking financial advantage of larger lot sizes by doing lot partitions. Lots tend to be .25 acre or so and large by today’s standard. Upper end contemporary can push the $1m mark for some classic contemporaries. Newer infill homes will not come cheap because location had good access to downtown and Beaverton. Well maintained homes and garden sanctuaries but not typically know as a luxury Portland real estate location.
