Pearl District Neighborhood, NW Portland

Feel , Known For –

Portland’s Pearl District neighborhood is an icon of urban redevelopment.  Focusing on reviving the downtown area by transforming an old warehouse district into some of the city’s hottest real estate is an understatement.  This is urban living in our city.  Expensive luxury living.  Countless restaurants will keep you eating out every night for weeks on end.  Art galleries, night life, breweries and shopping are big attractions.  No vehicle needed.

Pearl District Condo Settings –

Downtown city living is what this is.  Vehicles are not necessary and Walkscore.com rates this as about as walkable as it gets.  Few grassy areas outside the local parks yet everyone seems to own a dog and not necessarily a small one at that.  Seems to almost be a requirement.  The dog park is on 11th and Overton.  Still retaining some of the industrial look for character, cobblestone streets and brick, buildings are not incredibly tall.  City noises are constant, quieter, when further away from I-405.  Browse all Pearl District Condos for Sale immediately.

Pearl District Condo Prices –

One bedroom condos start around $250k for 700 sq. ft. and quickly go up from there.  Penthouses cap out close to 2500’ but push prices well over $1m for the luxury real estate.  The average condo runs about $500k and price per foot is near $350.  Check out all Portland condos and Portland Homes for Sale.

Pearl District Condo Styles –

Converted warehouses with redone exteriors keep the old world feel, open beams and ductwork make an architectural statement, high ceilings in these lofts.  Many newer construction buildings, tend to be high-rise style, contemporary and upscale, luxury homes.  Open floor plans, square in design with sliding panel doors separating sleeping quarters from the living.  3 bedrooms are rare until size warrants such, you’ll be pushing $1m.  At least one parking spot allocated to each in the basement/garage plus often some sort of storage area for bikes, etc.  Walls of windows is the key to each unit and view comes with a price.
