Council Crest Home Settings –

Upscale location, luxury older homes, high end Portland real estate, desirable location.  Somewhat prestigious.  Average sized lots of .12 – .2 acre. Windy roads built on steep hillsides with some homes cantilevered off hillsides and perched on stilts.  Yards can be tiered for better use, views of downtown to the east and Tualatin Valley to the west.  Dense foliage and many mature trees, moss-covered walkways.  Limited direct sunlight for some homes but potential is there for multiple mountain views, St. Helens, Hood, Jefferson, Rainier, and Adams but you have to have a clear day, scenic and natural.  Browse all Council Crest Homes for Sale immediately.

Council Crest Home Prices –

Starting in the low $300’s for a 1200’ cottage style and running into the millions for large 6000+ older estates.  Average is going to be near $700k and taxes leave a little to be desired (high).  Again, Multnomah county and owners may pay $5500/yr for  a $350k home, leaves a little something to the imagination.  Not an inexpensive area!  Check out all Portland Homes for Sale.

Council Crest Home Styles –

Some of this neighborhood’s first homes popped up in the 1920’s and were small bungalows.  Larger English-looking homes built around the same era can also be found.  Graduating to contemporary 1960’s and newer feel quite common.  Home styles support adventurous remodelers and 1960’s homes are often deceptively updated once you’re inside.  Finding quite prestigious older home estates is possible. Hillside contemporaries dot the landscape making use of multiple decks to capture the outdoors right off living space.  Day-ranch with lower pitched roofs, rummer style contemporaries retain resale values .  Most have 2 car garages.  Few newer infill homes become available but they do exist on a small scale.  Valuable Portland real estate overall.
